RCIE Announces 2020 StartupRU Accelerator Participants

Since its inception in May 2018, StartupRU, also known as the Rowan Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (RCIE) Summer Accelerator Program, has provided Rowan students with resources needed to further develop their startups. Ventures are awarded non-equity seed funding, receive dedicated private workspace on campus, and are connected with a network of mentors including a dedicated coach, a faculty guide, various webinar leaders, and a team of incredible ‘Startup Gurus’ (seasoned mentors).

The RCIE excited to announce the companies selected for the 2020 StartupRU Accelerator Program, running June 1 through August 15.

Konay Spice

Konay signature blends were created to bring the world’s flavors to your table one spice at a time. Founder Malicka Barro has developed unique blends that she believes every culture can identify with by bringing unrivaled flavors and culture to the spice market.

ChronoCare

ChronoCare is a software platform that allows healthcare professionals to increase the treatment efficiency of time sensitive conditions. Our platform, consisting of a mobile application and analytics dashboard, will seamlessly integrate with hospital electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance treatment, compliance, and reporting on both patient and operational levels.

Feelin’Blue

Feelin’Blue is an upcycled clothing and accessory line, focusing on denim and highlighting the current and ever-changing trends. Although our exposure is mostly online (online store www.feelinblue.org) and on Instagram, we also host pop-up shops outside of local businesses in the summer season. Not only does Feelin’Blue contribute to saving the environment, but it is also a platform for other makers to collaborate with Feelin’Blue to Grow both brands.

SafeQuest

SafeQuest provides a mobile app service that helps students arrive at campus destinations safely from the threat of physical violence whether they are driving, walking, or getting a ride. In less than 8 seconds, students can instantaneously contact the police, their closest friends, and their family members about their emergency situation and whereabouts.
